The Midwest Conference has now gone back to three Presiding Elders. Do you think this to be a good idea?

I don't know if it is a good idea. I'm thinking that it would reduce the elders' pay. I am also thinking, what good did the merger do then? I understand that this district is big and sometimes it might have been hard for the elders to get to everyone. I think that this could have been alleviated by holding the first and second quarterlies and mail in third and fourth. To me a third and fourth quarterly would not be necessary to hold unless there was a need. That's just my opinion.

I think you should use gotomeeting conference software would be easier. Or you can use a free conference call to conduct quarters

James, that's an excellent idea!

I would like to add this: Would we still function as one unit? I'm just thinking about things like Founder's Day. Are we conference officers, such as myself (MWWIM Secretary)be expected to travel to make report? Should we have elected someone from that area to represent WIM (even though everyone that ran for office is from MO/Kan...No letters of intent to run for office from anywhere else was received)? I am interested to see how this will work. To me it's more split than ever and I hope that the entire conference does not treat that area like step-children.

The technology is out there . We need to change with the times . If was a PE that is how I would conduct quarters .
